CM10 – “Song of Spiritual Courage”
On Saturday, October 3, at 8 pm, the world premiere of Timo Steiner’s “Song of Spiritual Courage” will be performed by the Collegium Musicale. The texts of the work come from Maurice Maeterlinkc’s book “Wisdom and Fate”, the texts were chosen by Andri Luup. Marius Peterson will participate in the concert. Conductor Endrik Üksvärav.
Composer Timo Steiner: “For me, Maeterlinck’s text” Wisdom and Destiny “has been more music than text. The sonic enchantment of the words is surprisingly similar to what I have experienced in music. Beautiful, noble, big … You are as if enchanted, connected to some extraordinarily beautiful flow and beautiful phrases. I have tried to underline, question, feel and listen to “Wisdom and destiny” that is important to me with music. ”
The Collegium Musicale celebrates its 10th birthday with a concert. The concert and the activities of the choir are supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Estonian Cultural Endowment, the City of Tallinn and the East Tallinn Central Hospital.
